interview with a covert conspirator…

an interview with a fellow Christ follower, a covert conspirator:

you spend most of your time working hard and serving within the Church, but perhaps you have a very different idea of what your mission is on behalf of the Church.  what is it that you would like to say to the Church?

i have so much to say.  i don’t know where to begin.  i don’t know how to convey.

i love you.  i have hope for your future.  i know you mean well.  i know you may be unaware.

but sometimes you make my stomach turn.  your decisions can be like tangled hair in the back of my throat.

you speak His name without hesitation, but you often speak it in vain.  it may sound like a curse when pushed past your lips.

you look just like them.  you act just like them.  you speak just like them.  are you just like them?

we are supposed to be just like Him.  we are supposed to reach them by being more like Him.

you’ve been called a covert conspirator.  explain.

yes we conspire in secret.  yes we influence the audience on an individual basis.  yes we leak hints of divisive truth.

He came to turn mother against daughter and father against son.  we are the sons that have a bone to pick with our fathers.  our God allows for it.

so many chairs, so many lives, so many stories to tell and to live out.  they walked in having a sense of truth.  they walk out looking just like you.

what do you believe Christ is saying to His Church?

“build me a plane and lower your majestic towers.

build me a road and demolish your toll booths.

build me a ship and cancel your tariffs.

build me a Church and tear down your walls.”

thank you.

no, thank you.

“Your decisions can be like tangled hair in the back of my throat.” A powerful phrase. I have lived that one too many times.

To augment the cover, being overt for some might become increasingly necessary if the pattern remains. Our God is not mocked. There is a remnant that loves Him dearly yet loathes the facade of “faith”.

The church in America, generally, is like a medieval doctor – you go expecting to be healed but more often than not, you’re bled dry.
