on why i even bother to push it…

because i’ve gone too far and can never turn back.

because i’ve seen too much and heard the hearts of many.

because what else am i supposed to do, but this?

because though i am not the only one, i am one of the few.

because they are waiting and you are hesitating, contemplating, negotiating.

because another world is possible and i can see it from here.

because how will they know if they are not told, if they are not shown.

because this grace will not be wasted on an ordinary existence.

because this life cannot be relived and i must make the most of it.

because this is who i have become and i no longer know how to be indifferent.

because others may see… and join… and walk it out as He intended.

because He asked me too and He can be trusted.

Carrying out this social relief work involves far more than helping meet the bare needs of poor Christians. It also produces abundant and bountiful thanksgivings to God. This relief offering is a prod to live at your very best, showing your gratitude to God by being openly obedient to the plain meaning of the Message of Christ. You show your gratitude through your generous offerings to your needy brothers and sisters, and really toward everyone. Meanwhile, moved by the extravagance of God in your lives, they’ll respond by praying for you in passionate intercession for whatever you need. Thank God for this gift, his gift. No language can praise it enough!
